Sustainably Creative by Michael Nobbs

Little and Often

being me…

I feel like I’ve been struggling a lot recently with accepting things as they are in my life – not something I seem to be very good at. I hate having limits, I hate having things I can’t do (or only do with a great effort of will). I’ve been feeling that I have to more »

people i wish had blogs…

After looking at some wonderful photos over at Black Notebook of a visit to Derek Jarman’s Prospect Cottage I was suddenly struck that Derek Jarman would have made a wonderful blogger. I’m sure there must be many other people that I’d like to have (or have had) blogs. Here are a few off the top more »

new pen…

Someone very kindly sent me a set of Pigma Micron pens. There’s nothing quite like a parcel in the post to cheer up a day that is full of runny noses and coughing and spluttering. I believe Microns are the pens that the wonderful Dan Price uses in his Moonlight Chronicles. I like them so more »

Places can be reserved at the box office on 01970 623232. The class is £45.00 for ten more »

things to do (now it’s spring)…

Sit on the beech with a beer and a dear friend. Buy a new summer hat. Remember to put sun cream on my head until I get a new summer hat. Start cutting the grass again. Eat more salad (and less biscuits?). Look through my wardrobe for things I don’t wear anymore (and see if more »

I'm Michael Nobbs, an artist, blogger and tea drinker (not necessarily in that order).

I'd like to show you that it is possible to stay creative even when energy is in short supply, and how working on small creative acts on a regular basis can build over time into a substantial body of work (and even a creative career).

I've written a book called Sustainable Creativity. You're welcome to pay whatever you would like for it.

Delve a little deeper by becoming a member. If you'd like to delve a little deeper into the material offered here on Sustainably Creative, find out about becoming a member.

My new book, Getting Your Important Work Done, is currently free for members to download.
